My Students

We love STEM! Our school is filled with eager and excited military students who love to get their hands on engineering projects and technology. We love everything from iPads to robotics to makerspaces.

Our school has about 700 students, and each one loves to explore the possibilities with creation and design in STEM activities and projects.

There is a great joy in the construction process. This joy leads to excited students who love coming to school, and will grow up to be engineers, chemists, architects, and doctors, as well as computer programmers and designers.

My Project

STEM is our students’ future. Most future careers will involve some combination of science, technology, engineering, and mathmatics. Our school is doing everything we can to prepare our students for these jobs.

Let’s prepare our students for their future using STEM!

To foster critical thinking and problem solving, our school would love to acquire 10 gripper builder kits. These would allow us to learn how to use gears, levers, and axles to control robotic arms. We will learn how to use sensors to detect and manipulate objects. These skills will assist our 700 students in many careers, including mechanical engineering.

We would also love basketball hoops to go along with our Dash robots. Students will gain math skills such as measurement and speed with the launcher and basketball hoop. Students will collaborate and use critical thinking skills to predict how far away Dash will need to be to make the basket. Collaboration and critical thinking are important skills in the work force.

The Bloxel Video Game Builder would also be a fantastic addition to our STEM collection! Bloxel allows students to develop a video game, and gives flexibility in creative design. Creativity will set our students apart in their careers.

Our school works hard to ensure that our students are prepared for the future. We pride ourselves in our push for STEM activities in and out of the classrooms. These materials will help our students build the computer science competencies necessary for a successful future. Our school will use these items in classes from kindergarten to fifth grade, in our STEM club, and in the Wonder League Competition. Please help our school continue to produce strong, intelligent, and scientifically minded students.
