My Students

I have the privilege of working with 6 amazing students in my preschool classroom. My preschool students are 2-5 years old who were born with a physical or health impairment. The students have many doctors appointments and therapies to attend, but they are still so motivated and want to do their best despite all the challenges they face! They are energetic and never give up.

Not only do my students face physical and health challenges; many of them come from poverty and are English Language Learners.

My Project

My students come from various backgrounds with English being their second language as well as having a physical impairment or health impairment. Having STEM activities in the classroom that are appropriate and fun will help them to meet their goals. My students need a Fairy Tales STEAM kit which has STEM activities to go along with the fairy tales we all love. They also need Design and Build Engineer Centers to build and create like the real engineers they are.

These particular STEM activities build critical language and literacy skills, boost creative expression, master early engineering concepts and much more.

Preschoolers use their imaginations to play and learn. These materials will give them appropriate manipulatives to build roller coasters, bridges, or whatever else they can think of. I need to provide them with materials to help their minds continue to grow and have continued success in coming school years!
