Our school is nestled in the beautiful farmlands of Central Vermont. I teach in a community full of kind, bright and energetic learners. They are always willing to help a person in need. I have been lucky enough to work in such a supportive environment for the last 10 years in East Montpelier. I currently teach 25 incredible kindergarten students with my co-teacher Lisa Gariboldi. We are excited to be constantly providing them with creative new ways of share their thinking!
Kindergarten students are instinctively creative and are problem solvers. We would like to provide our students with a fun and innovative way to explore engineering and design in the classroom while working collaboratively with their peers using the Makedo Cardboard Construction Set Kits.
These kits will allow our students to use critical thinking skills to design and build an endless amount of projects during our STEM challenges as well as during their free play.
It also includes safe cutting tools and screwdrivers so they can work on their fine motor skills as well. With 2 class sets the entire kindergarten class will be able to work at once.
We are looking forward to having this resource in our classroom that all the children will be able to benefit from each year. Thank you for supporting the next generation of thinkers!
