My Students
Fifth graders are fantastic, excited, have growing young minds and when given the opportunity will thrive in any inviting classroom community. My students love learning opportunities in which they are able to move, manipulate, and engage with their learning materials while collaborating with their classmates.
It is my goal to help set up an environment in which all students, of all ability levels can not only thrive but enjoy the space they are in!
They want to work hard and demonstrate their learning through their individual interests and strengths!
My Project
My students use STEM Materials on a daily basis in the classroom to help support critical thinking and collaboration with active minds and hands.
I believe in hands-on, active learning and student practice therefore we use STEM activities like the Force and Motion Activity Lab daily in our classroom.
We use them as our morning activator or morning work and it is my goal to continue to add more of these meaningful experiences to my classroom. With this project we would be adding 5 more activities to our STEM time as well as have the opportunity for families to check out the Family Engagement packs igniting family STEM fun at home as well.
The storage center will give us a place to store student projects, ideas, and plans as they work on different projects during morning work as well as other parts of our school day.
