Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach 3rd grade students who love learning. My students are always interested in learning new material so that they can build their mathematical knowledge. Their favorite things to learn are how to multiply and divide for the first time. I enjoy seeing the excitement in their eyes when they memorize all of their multiplication facts. Third grade is a special grade where they start to learn independence and they begin to find their voice. Their personalities really start to shine at this age.
My Project
I would love to give my 3rd graders some items to be more creative. They love to build things and create things, so this will just make things easier and more fun! I want my students to have something they enjoy besides just technology. It really make a difference when kids can actually put their hands on something. It's so awesome to see the things they create and see where their imagination leads them. I believe this will also lead to team building and the kids being inspired by each other.
