My Students

Each child in my classroom comes to school ready to learn. Although the method and environment in which they learn best varies greatly, my students come to DLM to encourage each other, learn together and work hard so they can be successful in life. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have this group of learners that are excited and ready to learn!

My Project

My second grade classroom is in need of stem materials. What makes a bridge strong? How do vehicles roll, tow and carry things? These are questions my students will learn with the addition of these three stem centers to our classroom: bridge, house, and vehicles building stem centers.

Stem education is about hands on learning.

All of these tools will encourage exploration and collaboration. With the appropriate tools, I will prepare my students to become future engineers. Students will experiment through trial and error and grow from their mistakes. My hope is to inspire and encourage my students to pursue the STEM field and learn as much as possible so they will be successful in life!
