My Students

My students are a mix of cultures and backgrounds. They are a Title I School with a good culture of Hispanic populations. They do not always come from the best background, but our school does its best to not let that be something that holds them back. I am aiming to just give them their best foot forward and the most comfortable learning environment. The school works hard to give the students the best experience possible, I just want to be able to continue to inspire and help these students grow.

My Project

These supplies will be used to implement a STEM component to our 4th Grade Science Curriculum. These materials would be utilized in order to start a Makerspace within the classroom. The materials consist of basic STEM supplies that I can use with the students such as twine, glue, straws, pipe cleaners and various other tools that will allow the students to create and implement their projects within the classroom.

STEM projects will help the students utilize a variety of critical thinking and problem solving skills.

It will help create engaging and thoughtful learners who know how to develop a solution to a problem. For the students to have access to these materials and the ability to design and create their own project would bring more meaningful and constructive learning experiences to the classroom. It will really build a comprehensive set of resources to allow students to engage their creative sides.
