Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The majority of my students come from low-income homes where they are faced with challenges within their daily lives, whether it be at school or home. They all qualify for free breakfast and lunch.
Our school is one where all of our students are provided with a classroom and school environment that encourages academic and moral excellence and conveys the worth and dignity of each child, the excitement and joy of learning, the beauty and wonder of life.
A life that moves beyond self is the order that is essential to learning and living.
My Talented and Gifted students need to be challenged in school. One way is to have them work in groups to complete STEM activities.
My Project
Creating STEM activities our school is a wonderful way to encourage learning opportunities that include science, technology, engineering, and math. Students will have an environment where they can investigate, create, and let their minds soar.
My students will use these projects to work in groups and complete a Science journal documenting all steps, predictions and any wondering they have about the assignment.
The students will build, make predictions, and share findings.
With this funded project they will build a balloon car, create a working circuit given materials in the kit, create a propeller-powered device that travels along a string plus have the experience of being an engineer while working in groups.
