My students need materials specialized in building. We need the LEGOs, KNEX, and Magformers for easier building materials, but we also need the popsicle sticks, and index cards for students to find different ways to build.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I have 35 enthusiastic and energetic fourth graders. We come from a school where all students receive free breakfast and lunch. Despite coming from lower socioeconomic status my students come to school eager to learn and better themselves for their future.
My students are the future of the world.
My students are eager to learn new concepts. They also have a passion for knowing how and when they will use their skills in their everyday lives and their futures. They are already dreaming about their future career's and I want to make sure they are prepared for any one they set their minds to.
My Project
Students will be using these materials to incorporate Science, Technology, Education, and Math into one easy task. Students will be using materials like LEGO's, popsicle sticks with velcro circles, and pipe cleaners to build a a specific structure. Once students have made their structure they will take a step back and look at different ways they can improve their structure, what steps they took to build their structure, what the measurements of their structure are, and what types of two and three dimensional shapes are in their structure.
Students will be preparing themselves for future careers.
Each material will be in a separate container, and the students will have a chance to build different structures for example, plane, tunnel, bridge, tent, shelf, and castle. Students will be thinking divergently and imaginatively while solving problems with specified constraints and building creative design skills. Students will also be applying their structures to real world designs, and building fine motor skills. Students will also be learning skills that they will be able to carry with them into future careers.
