Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The children in my classroom are very inquisitive and eager to learn! They enjoy hands-on activities, movements, and experiencing the world around them through their bodies. They like exploring and learning. They like to be around their peers when learning about their world. Cooperative activities are beneficial for them as they thrive in each other's encouragement and love.
They're between the ages of 4 and 5.
Majority of them are Dual Language Learners. Most of our children are receiving Free and Reduced meals.
My Project
Our children in the classroom like to be engaged in more in-depth activities about the things around them. They like to explore, observe, think, and process the information they get. I'm requesting Clifford Rainbow, Kitchen, Bubble, Magic, and Water Science kits. These materials will help the children learn about their world through interactive activities and materials that are familiar, yet able to expand their vocabulary and knowledge.
These kits would guide the children in becoming interested in STEM activities at an early age.
They will feel like real scientists by doing magical experiments that are catered for their age level. It will be a hands-on experience for them as they go through each kit throughout the school year.
