Help me give my students additional items for them to extend their building projects. We currently have a small selection of wheels and doors and only three students can use the set.
Remember what it was to be in First Grade? A typical day in my classroom is busy, busy, busy! My students are active and enjoy exploring. Their young minds need tools and meaningful experiences. We are a Title I school with a very high percentage of low-income families. While poverty and language can be barriers for my students, I like to create a learning environment that makes their learning fun.
As their teacher, I want the best for my students in and out of the classroom.
I must create an environment where my students have endless opportunities.
My Project
My students enjoy using LEGOs. I like to use LEGOs in my classroom because it gives my students the exposure needed for them to build all sorts of vehicles. With the Wheels Set, they will be able to add more mobility to their constructions. I also want my students to build structures. With the Doors, Windows, and Roof Set, it will give my students everything they need to put finishing touches on construction projects. The Small Building Plates will give more opportunities for creativity.
With these new LEGO sets, my students will be able to choose from a variety of items that will allow them to create anything that comes into their mind.
I want all my students to be exposed to the opportunities that LEGOs can give them. I also hope to have a few more students enjoy math and science using LEGOs as a new, fun, and exciting way to engineering.
