My students love to learn from one another, and they are very collaborative, cooperative learners.
We participate in many small group learning activities, and they are always respectful and thoughtful toward one another. We have a very diverse classroom which makes our learning community even more special. These students are smart, motivated to learn, and passionate third graders!
My Project
My students learn best with hands-on, concrete examples. These science materials will allow them to make discoveries on their own as well as collaboratively in groups. The materials will encourage exploration and cooperative learning. I am requesting 3 different types of building materials so that students can practice going through the engineering process. We need Legos, magnetic blocks, and geo boards. These materials will make students' learning more engaging and meaningful. These materials will increase students engagement and overall success.
As we know, there is a increasing demand for employees in careers in the STEM field across the nation.
Providing early exposure and opportunities for children will help foster a love of STEM and prepare students for successful futures. These materials will strengthen the science experiences that students have in our class. They will also make learning more fun which encourages a lifetime love of learning!
