it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I serve students that are inquisitive, eager, and passionate about science.
My students are classified as 92% disadvantaged and 50% are ESL students. Every class period my students arrive engaged and motivated. Many of my students enjoy station activities, laboratory investigations, and enrichment projects.
At times, my students worry about the lack of resources they have, but I encourage students to persevere and to push forward. The effects of Hurricane Harvey can be seen in my students' neighborhoods and many students lack resources additionally due to low socioeconomics.
My Project
Students will need the speaker sets, wireless keyboards and mice, and HDMI cords in the STEM Computer Lab for technology uses. The materials requested will enable my students from grades 6th-8th to listen to instructions and to be engaged in virtual labs, the creation of engineering projects and help them to participate in inquire based lessons.
Students will use the wireless keyboards and mice, hdmi cords, and speakers when presenting their findings to their peers.
Student will also be able to use these materials at state and local STEM events. The HDMI cords will be used to connect the current computers that students use with the new monitors and laptops that our district has purchased.
The resources requested will heighten the learning experience for my students and help them to grow.
