I am an energetic science and history teacher, who is always trying to enhance my students' learning experience while at school! I teach an average of seventy students each school year. We are located in a primarily low-income, rural area of our state, with around 85% of our students riding a bus to school on the long back country roads. We also have a high percentage of students on our free or reduced-price lunch program.
My students are all very special to me, as they are each unique in their own way.
I try to help engage children in reading. What better way than to do this in science and history, right?! I love teaching and knowing that I get to reach so many children in my life.
We have used basic classroom supplies such as index cards, pipe cleaners, paper clips, straws, and other items to create roller coasters, but I would love to have these STEM kits as well. We will do a comparison between materials and what they are able to accomplish with each. These STEM kits will help students work on teamwork, perseverance, critical thinking, and creativity!
These kits will improve my force and motion unit, by giving students the best hands-on opportunity!
Force and motion is a fun unit, and I do not want to teach it with notes anymore. We love hands on and want to continue learning in this amazing way!
