This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are hardworking and dedicated learners. They come to school everyday with a yearning to learn! It is our job to provide them with all the tools and education they will need for their future. I want to build a STEM classroom so my kids can investigate, explore, and discover multiple ways to solve a task.
My Project
LEGO bricks are one of the best learning tools and toys for kids to practice building and learn difficult concepts in a fun hands-on way. LEGO STEM activities give children hands-on practice with science, technology, engineering and math – skills they’ll rely on for years to come. The real learning power of LEGO lies in its open-ended nature. LEGO is not a toy that comes with a single function.
LEGO sets can spark creative energy because children have to think about what to build, how to build it and then go on to find a way to make what’s in their imagination come to life.
As children build, they are basically solving one problem after the next as they figure out how to make the pieces fit together. This will be a never ending source of wonder and amazement for my students.
