This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are from a rural background, and they come to my class with all the constraints associated with it - but I have observed that they come to my class motivated to learn. We learn Biology and Environmental Science together.
Though the children come from diverse backgrounds, they work in unison and are highly motivated to succeed.
We need materials for hands-on experiments or to create models to stimulate the young minds.
Thank you, for what you do!
My Project
Dry erase boards are an effective method to practice models and use formative assessments well.
A visually effective way to practice different genetic problems hands-on; biomes, earth studies, and group work can stimulate visual, kinesthetic as well as auditory learners in both Biology and Environmental science groups.
Students can visually see their colorful work, as well as other students, can leave their comments with the Post-it notes. If there are any mistakes they can erase them, without making their product looking messy. My students learn best when they are involved in the work, and this will keep them engaged.
