My Students
The students at our elementary are an incredible group of kids grades K-6th! The demographics of my classroom, and school, are majority Caucasian and 89% free and reduced lunch.
I have the pleasure of teaching 5th grade again for the 2018-2019 school year, woohoo!
My students are a great group of kids with big hearts and goals. Many of them come from broken homes, poverty, substance, abuse, and incarcerated parents. Despite some of these challenges, their ability to bounce back and push through amazes me! Every kid deserves to have the brightest future. My goal is to help give that future to my kiddos!
My Project
We love doing STEM/STEAM days at our school. However, sometimes it is challenging to find lessons that span kindergarten through fifth grade.
Having a variety of STEM lessons at our fingertips will cut down the time it takes scouring the internet for quality lessons and activities.
Our goal, as a school, is to plan and facilitate three school wide STEM days each year. In 2018-2019 we have already accomplished two STEM days. Both of these events were time consuming and challenging to coordinating activities to accommodate all age levels. With these resources, our third STEM day should be well thought out and easily orchestrated! Help provide an awesome day of STEM for my scientists!
