Stem: Building a Better Future!

Help me give my students the critical thinking and problem solving skills they will need for a successful future. My students come from a marginalized community with very few opportunities. We currently do not have a STEM curriculum.

My Project

The first grade students at my school come from one of the lowest income areas in our city. Despite their daily challenges they persevere, coming to school each day with a desire to learn.

Unfortunately at this time our school does not have a STEM curriculum.

I know how beneficial it could be if my students were exposed to STEM. STEM education can bridge the achievement gap between students in low-income school districts and their counterparts in more affluent areas. It provides a pathway for students to acquire highly sought-after skills in the job market, including critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills. By equipping students with STEM knowledge, low-income school districts can help level the playing field and empower them to compete on equal footing.

Please help me and my fellow first-grade teachers give our students exposure to STEM. Thank you very much!
