My Students

Our student body is full of curious nine and ten year olds. They are little explorers who, honestly, need a break from this world and all of its complexities. The teachers in our school do their best to love them while helping them with academics.

In the library, I hope to give them a break from the normal academics and provide a different experimental or creative atmosphere.

Since they are often given instructions on how to do this worksheet or that computer program, they are elated at anything new that gives them some freedom.

My Project

I hope to have these materials at a center for students to explore in the coming months. I would love to have STEM centers for our last few weeks, if not this year because of covid procedures, maybe next year. This will allow all students to discover what is in our STEM game hub. During the year, I usually reward individual students with our STEM game hub during their library activity time. Either way, they will be using these materials in small groups, collaborating together.

These two "games" will give students a chance to play and rest from their academics while still teaching them about gravity, balance, and architecture.

I also included extra marbles in case the included ones are lost during our library times.
