My students need materials such as Brain Flakes, Bloxels, and Straw Builders to create a hands-on STEM learning experience. This will allow them to think critically and be problem solvers.
My goal as an educator is to give my students what they need to be successful and have a positive learning environment. As a teacher at a low-income rural school, it is important to make sure that all students are getting all the resources that they will need in the classroom setting.
My students come from all walks of life, but share the love of learning.
Third grade is full of wonderful educational opportunities and experiences. I hope to help my students get the resources they need to create the best learning environment that I can. Through this project, I will be able to reach every student and give them all an opportunity to succeed.
My Project
My goal is to provide my students with an interactive learning environment. STEM bin materials will be used to help them learn through hands on experiences. Each bin will have materials to allow the students to create various structures, while also learning. Students will use Brain Flakes and Straw Builders to solve STEM challenges that I have provided. They will be able to build and experiment to discover what will work in order for their challenge to be successful. Students will enhance their use of technology by designing their own video games with Bloxels. They will be able to practice coding and learning about robots with Ozobot. My students will be able to build, design, and test their own creations.
STEM bins will allow my students to think outside of the box and become critical thinkers.
They will help my students collaborate with their peers and work as a team to solve problems. I believe that children learn best when able to explore and create. These resources will give them this opportunity, while also getting them excited about STEM.
