Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a first grade teacher in a Title I school system with 20-25 students. In my class 15 or more of my students will be ESOL students who are coming to school with little to no English, however they the most eager students who are ready listen and learn everyday.
Logic can get you from A to B but imagination will take you everywhere says Albert Einstein.
We are a hands on, art based, classroom ready to make the most of our learning everyday.
My Project
STEM bins will include an Osmo, magnetic blocks, construction sets, and many manipulatives that will help my students strengthen their English skills as will as math and science curriculum. These bins will also allow kids the opportunity to learn and work in small groups. We are learning to be respectful to each other as we work together to create fun and engaging projects.
STEM bins will also create opportunities for writing and problem solving on a daily basis.
Lastly, we are always striving for the best and STEM bins will give my students the ability to show what they have learned though engaging activities.
