My students need the STEM Science Droid to excite and teach them about Computer Coding through the droid and completing a STEM project. The materials will help excite and reach my students through STEM education.
My students struggle with Mathematics and English Language Arts mostly. I try to find many ways to present the various topics to them in a fun and intrinsic ways. Many of my students are curious about the world around them and love to learn. They come from a small town in the upstate of South Carolina. Many come from poverty due to the lack of jobs within the area.
Many of my students live in poverty and do not have the basics in life.
We are a title one school with 85 percent of the students in the free or reduced lunch range which means they have regionally extremely low income. They are willing to learn and love to get new materials. They appreciate everything anyone does to help them out and need the materials for their success.
My Project
The requested materials including the pencils, white board markers, crayons, books, and droid inventor kit will be used to provide the much needed resources the students have went through this year to get them through the rest of the school year and lead them to design and create a STEM droid invention through the kit.
The droid inventor kit will help my students to become exposed to STEM activities.
They will need the pencils, white board markers, crayons, and books to help them design and learn how to present their own droid before and during inventing their droid inventor kit.
Through the use of the materials requested my students will gain the much needed school supplies, pencils, markers, crayons, books, and a droid invention kit to create and design their own droid using the materials. This will help them to discover career interest in designing and engineering droids. This will be a great hands on STEM activity for my students to be exposed to.
