My students live in a small town and don't get the resources that much larger and newer schools and communities benefit from. The school my students learn in was built in the 1930s and could use resources that help with their education. These students would benefit from opportunities that give them a chance to make choices in their learning as well as have access to more opportunities in their learning. With many different learning styles and abilities, all sudents deserve a chance to learn the way they learn best!
We need Osmo kits for some really great STE(A)M options that give opportunities to all learners! OSMO is one of the best resources I've seen used in classrooms for enriching students learning experience in math, science, engineering, technology and the arts! STE(A)M which is known as science, technology, art, and mathematics, is the future of learning for students. It provides opportunities for students of all abilities to learn and to sustain the attention to the next generation of learners.
Practicing coding will help prepare students for jobs such as IT, computer science and more.
The art side of education helps students learn with a much bigger window and interpretation of they way things work. All aspects of STEAM help students ask questions about why and how something works and helps them discover and find the answers on their own as well as working together with a group. Funding this project will allow my students to have a STEAM session every day and help broaden their horizons about abilities and interests!
