My Project

In my transitional kindergarten, we offer students organic exposure to academic content they will learn in kindergarten. Whisper phones, magnetic letters and letter stamps allow children to connect fun with their literacy learning. Whisper phones will help my students to develop strong phonological awareness that will serve them in learning to read. Magnetic letters and letter stamps will allow us to practice with letters, letter sounds, and cvc words in a hands on, engaging way that will increase skills and interest necessary to be strong readers.

The robotic coding toy introduces students to engineering while presenting itself as a toy to be explored.

My students can learn the foundational skills of coding, while also learning about positions and other math concepts. I’ve also requested gears and magnets for students to investigate matter, motion, and energy, while increasing their fine motor and cooperative learning skills.
