My students need new activities for the classroom like STEM Challenges that will help their minds grow and expand along with books that develop our social emotional learning like The Invisible Boy.
My student isn't just my students, they are like my own children. I have 18 kids in my class that comes from a wide variety of cultural and economic backgrounds, some who travel up to an hour just to go to school.
At our charter school, we are a family, and the students in my class act as such.
They are energetic, fun, excited learners who want nothing more than to come to school everyday ready to explore and grow.
My Project
My students are creative and would love the chance to do more hands-on learning in the classroom with the help of Playstix and other STEM challenge activities that can get their creative juices flowing and allow them more time to work in small groups and learn from each other.
Learning how to be a kind friend and how to help each other are things we discuss daily in our classroom, and with the help of some new social emotional books like Even Superheroes Have Bad Days we can expand our own emotional toolboxes to become better friends and learners.
