My Students

My 5 and 6 year old students are energetic, eager learners that ask questions about how the world works on a daily basis. They love to collaborate and be creative in every way possible.

We live in a diverse neighborhood with variety of socioeconomic and family structures.

One thing is for sure, they can’t wait to try out anything that challenges them!

I want to inspire them to be questioners of the world and to try things that they might otherwise not try.

My Project

My students want to be creative, collaborate, and communicate. They want to answer questions such as what makes a bridge hold weight? How does a vehicle work. These design and build engineering materials will allow my kindergartners to explore these questions with open ended materials to solve problems and learn about the world around them. The stories will allow them to ask and answer other questions with their materials.

These materials will allow them to be creative and solve problems with each other in a safe space allowing them to learn and grow.

My students love to work together and these materials will give them more opportunities to build and explore, as much as they like while using critical 21st century skills that all learners and employers need.
