Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am so excited to be teaching third grade this school year! I am teaching in a smaller, neighborhood school and have loved working with my students daily. They are so independent, funny, and always strive to do their best.
My twenty-five third graders are so eager to learn and have plans to change the world.
Third grade is such a monumental grade in regards to testing and the expectations for these eight and nine year olds, and I want to make it as memorable, fun, and educational as possible for these students of mine.
My Project
I truly want the most for my students and believe these tools will help me teach them the fundamentals for elementary school and the rest of their lives. In third grade, we learn about all subjects, but I feel like we have been lacking in the science and STEM department. All of the items I have requested will help strengthen these skills for my students.
The donations to this project will help my students build their love of learning with fun, flexible seating choices and materials such as magnetic blocks, scissors, playdoh, and wooden planks to help bring a love for science and innovative thinking.
I am a huge advocate for student choice and know that when students are comfortable and happy, they try harder and focus better. Flexible seating would definitely promote the concept of independence and diligence. My goal is for my students to have a love for learning in an environment that allows them to be creative and independent thinkers. Please help to get my students the supplies we need that will help them thrive in this twenty-first century, problem-solving world.
