These students are among the most diverse in the nation. At our school alone there are 83 languages and dialects spoken. They live in one of the highest crime areas and in some of the highest poverty levels with 78% of students getting free and reduced lunch rate in an urban district.
These children are eager to learn and be 21st-century ready leaders to become lifelong learners.
These students could use a variety of materials to assist them in filling learning gaps of our lowest Title I learners and English Language students students along with opportunities to challenge our Gifted and Talented students.
This is student driven engineering project. These students have asked for some more LEGO building blocks and platforms to construct buildings, cars, mazes and solve math problems in fractions and multiplication and division.
Please help support our class with LEGO building blocks and platforms so they can become fluent math and engineering learners who can apply their learning across subjects.
This student driven project will be used in STEM and choice times, so that they can learn engineering concepts along with structural analysis and area and perimeter of items they build. These tools will help students make connections to real world applications.
