Help me give my students an experience using STEM building activities. Here they can explore their creative building abilities. I like for my students to be open about their feelings and recognize and learn from their actions.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My scholars truly miss being in the classroom with me and their classmates. Unfortunately, they don't have the technology needed to complete their class assignments on a daily basis. I have students who use their parents' cell phones to view assignments at the end of the day when they arrive from work. Some of my students have to have certain times allocated for homework because of other siblings in the house using the wifi and not enough technology to go around, nor a strong enough wifi signal to use more than one device. On the other hand, I also have students who are going with another parent over the weekend since parents are divorced, so contact with them sometimes fades in the weekend. They miss all of our puzzles and center activities that they did in class together. I thought it would be a great idea to do a virtual puzzle together and some STEM activities during our Microsoft TEAMS meetings. So we meet throughout the week face-to-face as a class and talk about how each day is going. I call it emotional and social support!
My Project
My students and I will collaborate in building models through the STEM kit during our virtual learning. In addition, the emotions kit will help them talk about their feelings and emotions on daily occurrences in their household. Students will get to express their feelings with me alone or with their classmates. Our puzzle is of children of the world which is perfect for our class. In my class, we have students from all over Latin America, but throughout our campus we have students from all over the world. It is important for them to learn about different heritages and customs as we embed them through our social studies lessons.
