STEM and Data Analysis for High School Biology

Help me give my students access to Gizmos, an online lab simulation and data analysis software, through Chromebooks. we have some chrome books in the classroom already, but increasing enrollment makes it so there are fewer devices.

My Students

We are an incredibly diverse school set in the heart of Silicon Valley, with over 60% of students receiving free and reduced lunch. Our focus is on ALL students having the opportunity to be successful in ALL classes—not just the best and brightest! Our school focuses on representation and advocacy for students in STEM classes, empowering more students to focus on STEM as a future, not just a requirement. My students are intelligent, curious, and so energetic! They want to learn and are excited to be prepared for college success in science.

My Project

Each student in my classroom had access to hands-on data and graphical analysis with a Chromebooks... until this year! Increasing enrollment means increased lab group sizes and in Biology and AP Biology, access to reliable tech that students can see and participate with is absolutely crucial. My project will keep students engaged by providing a few supplemental devices to ensure every student has equal access every day. Your donation will be critical in supporting every student every day. Using virtual simulations and online preparatory materials, AP Biology students will see molecular science in new ways and be exposed to new research and real data, helping them think like never before.
