STEM All the Way! Let's Create!

Help me give my students blocks and flakes so that they can create STEM projects. STEM education stresses the value of failure as a learning exercise, which will enable students to embrace mistakes as part of the learning.

FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Maney's classroom raised $237

My Students

Hello! I am the proud teacher of a very diverse group of second graders. They are smart and kind and ready to learn! My students are from all different backgrounds, and more than half are English as second language learners. Some were virtual for first grade and are readjusting to the return of school. It is important that we are reminded why diversity and cultural awareness is so crucial in the classroom and the benefits it can have on students now and in the long term. Teaching diversity exposes students to various cultural and social groups, preparing students to become better citizens in their communities.

My Project

STEM helps students to build resilience. With this donation, students will have materials that will help them to build projects over and over again. STEM education can be taught to students of all ability levels. Students of varying levels of ability can work together in teams to find solutions to problems, record data, write reports, give presentations, etc. The end result is students who understand how to collaborate with others and thrive in a team-oriented environment

Help me make building a part of second grade STEM learning!

STEM education teaches students how to solve problems by using their critical thinking skills. By engaging in STEM learning experiences, students learn how to examine problems and then create a plan to solve them.
