My Students

Some of my students have not yet discovered that learning can truly be exciting and fun. These Robotic systems will help them find this passion to become life-long learners.

My students are from all walks of life.

They come from family's that work in Apple orchards, the local Pilgrims Pride factory, and other work places. We are a very rural school, and I believe this is why this program is so important. Many of these students do not get a chance to see robotics or STEM based careers in front of their eyes. This would create an experience for them.

My Project

I will use the LEGO Mindstorm robots to help build a desire to learn in these content areas as I stated before. I would work afterschool with students. This work would be on a volunteer basis, and I would not be paid. I have a passion for this educational practice and believe my students will truly benefit from these Robotic kits.

This product would change my students' lives forever.

It would do so by giving my students a chance to see that one does not have to be a master at reading or math to become a success full member of society. This will give them a chance to see their potential in this field further giving them a desire to try harder in school so they may go to college and begin a career in this field.
