Help me give my students building and engineering activities to build skills and interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics and use their imagination to create designs!
For the 2019-2020 school year, I will be moving to 1st grade! I am looking to make this school year very creative for my kiddos. Many of my kiddos come from low income households. The kiddos that will be joining me love to do hands-on activities! They want to be engaged in what they are doing. They love to explore, build, question, and create. These families are unable to provide experiences. So by donating to this project, you will help me provide for them!
My Project
When a student walks into a classroom in the morning, they know they will have a job to do. With your help, that job will be to grab a STEM bin, head to an area around the room, and work on creating something great! Having a wide variety of items will allow students to experience ways to design using different objects. On Monday, a student might choose the Straw Connector set and build a walk through archway. On Tuesday, that same student might choose The Egg to dig to find out what fun animal he might discover. Students will have free choice every morning!

These tools will also help to allow students to work together as teams. Working on social skills such as saying please and thank you, working together, and sharing.
