This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am one of the Pre-K teachers at my Elementary school. It's an honor to be one of the first people to have such a big impact on a child's life! I have yet to meet my students this year. Many of the students in my classroom are getting their first glimpse of school and all the new experiences that come with that time in their lives.
I want to help create and nurture curiosity and excitement for learning in my classroom.
Our classroom environment is structured in a way that fosters developmental learning through play. Please consider helping me provide fun, play-based experiences for my students!
My Project
As a Pre-K teacher I see how important it is to create opportunities for my students to develop problem solving skills at a young age. I want to provide hands-on, developmentally appropriate experiences for the learners in my classroom. It is fundamental to help children, at an early age, develop neurological pathways on which they will build from now on.
This year I plan to incorporate the use of nursery rhymes with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) learning.
Using the STEM learning kit from Lakeshore Learning I can support students as they problem solve issues that are related to literature they are exploring.
