My students come from diverse backgrounds and yet share one common thing aside from economic status, love for each other! It doesn't matter to them who you are or what you do. All that matters is that you are with them and you learn with them. Because of their bright attitudes and kind nature, all students feel welcome in our class. Each new student as adjusted very quickly. Each student who has moved has been dearly missed.
Everyday my students commit to learning and giving their all.
They have been driven by diligent enthusiasm even with second hand and recycled items. Their wonder and excitement for learning drives me to find new ways to engage their active, young minds.
It takes one thing, one project, one story, one small idea, to spark a young mind into becoming the next great inventor, doctor, writer...you name it! We are STEAM school and we are a Title 1 school, which means everything we do can be a new adventure for our class. I would love to put more learning at their fingertips to ignite their hunger for learning.
My Project
Today's Kindergarten students don't just learn their ABCs and 123s, they are scientists, technologists, engineers, artists and mathematicians in the making! Our STEAM resources are lacking and yet their young minds are not. Just today, they collaborated with each other to turn a found pile of large sticks into a standing house!
