This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
We are a school district in Northwestern Mississippi. We house students grades PK-5 next year. I will be making a move to a new job capacity, which will also be new to the District, and I am working to make the opportunities for students incomparable.
Our students display a good mix of different socio-economic backgrounds.
We hope by adding a STEM routine into the classroom's weekly activity, we can encourage more students to go into the area of STEM as a career path.
Our students and teachers work together to engage in hands on learning, and we hope that adding this new activity will allow students to delve even deeper into hands on learning.
Thank you for considering our project, and inspiring the new generation of STEM learners!
My Project
Trying to add to my STEAM classroom some essentials to help enhance the curriculum. Students from PK-5th grade will benefit from the new supplies. I have asked for 7 of each item because we have 7 tables that students are divided between. My kids love to build and we have one box of the IO blocks and they have become a favorite among my k-2 groups. They like being able to build something from their mind. STEAM Activity allows students a hands on experience to enrich and promote science and investigative education. STEAM is quickly becoming a favorite activity among our students!
