Kindergarten is where the future begins. My students are unique individuals full of curiosity. They come to school full of personality and interest. They have great imaginations and love building and creating. My 24 amazing Kindergarteners come from a multitude of backgrounds which creates a diverse learning community that provides us with fantastic learning opportunities. I have the awesome privilege of teaching students with special needs, gifted students, English language learners, students from around the world and students coming from high poverty areas. Also, I have many military families who bring unique experiences to our classroom. Some students need more help while others need to be challenged.
Every child deserves the chance to be problem solvers who think outside the box while collaborating with and encouraging others, therefore, allowing success for every individual at every level.
The greatest words I love to hear are “Look what I did!” and “Can I tell you about it?” whether students are talking to peers, myself or other visitors to our classroom.
My Project
Kindergarteners are naturally curious and enjoy active hands on learning. These project based activities encourage learners to think, explore, question, experiment and create. These kits come with lessons to challenge students at various levels and allow them to improve projects pushing them to strive for success.
STEAM activities provided students with the opportunity to become collaborative problem solvers in a non-threating environment where thinking outside the box is encouraged.
My students will benefit from the kits requested by allowing hands on activities with all the materials needed to unlock their imagination. These students are our future and need a classroom full of opportunities to learn and grow through exploration. Kindergarten is the an opportune time to start children on the road to success and provide the materials and environment needed to spark a love of learning for a lifetime.
