STEAM with Robotics

Help me give my students an opportunity to extend their learning through STEAM, using coding and robots. I'm hoping to engage them and bring new exitement to 21st century Mathematics.

My Students

My students come to my classroom for small group instruction that provides extra support for math. These students usually struggle a little bit with a few concepts and we can target and reteach them in a new way.

We try to think outside the box and employ new methods to help the students learn differently.

We hope to bring alternative methods into our instruction through the use of alternative seating and technology to give teachers and students a way to support the curriculum through active and visual means.

My Project

I want to help students make connections between Math in the classroom and Math as a career. Coding and robotics is a growing field with immense uses. Exposure to how coding is used will help students understand the technological advances that are happening now, and prepare them to use the new technologies their generation will need when they are entering the workforce.

Excitement is the most important factor in learning.

Students need to care about what they are learning. Robotics are high-interest subjects to work with while provide opportunities for them to learn the same skills and so many more in new ways.
