Teaching kindergarten is like herding cats and teaching them how to read at the same time! The crazy part is, I was born for it. I am starting my twenty first year of teaching. Soon, I will have twenty, or more, new kinder friends. We will sing, laugh, and learn together. My class will be filled with girls and boys with a variety of learning abilities and learning needs.
Kindergarten is by far may favorite grade to teach.
Students are eager to learn, love coming to school, and in their minds the kindergarten teacher can do no wrong.
I know I have a huge impact on my students and I do not take my responsibility lightly. My greatest desire is for each of my students to develop a passion for learning. I want each of them to love kindergarten as much as I do.
My Project
My students need STEAM activities, storage tubs, and supplies challenge their minds and keep our classroom organized.
In kindergarten students need to build and create.
These supplies will help them do just that. These STEAM tubs will be used for building, engineering, and practicing teamwork in our classroom.
We also need tubs to organize our new STEAM materials. In kindergarten, we move from one activity to the next without a minute to spare. These items will help our classroom stay organized. I am teaching the students to be responsible and to clean up after themselves. These organizational tools will help the students know where each item belongs.
