Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Our students come from diverse backgrounds and are eager to learn. We are the only open enrollment French Montessori program in New Orleans. The majority of our students are from low income backgrounds and parents are very excited to have this opportunity for their students.

As a brand new school, we are working hard to provide for our students.

We want to make sure we have everything we need to engage them and help them learn. Our students are creative and we are overjoyed to serve them!

My Project

I am requesting tablets and headphones to use programs that engage young learners in math and science. My students can gain a better understanding of numbers and science and learn to apply it to everyday life.

Additionally, the tablets can be used for interactive math applications that reinforce abstract thinking and cognitive development.

These innovative technologies create a level of excitement and engagement that motivate students to take an active and independent role in their education.

Early exposure to technology is imperative for our low income students so that they can access information and be prepared for a wider variety of careers.
