My Students

My students are natural investigators. They love to inquire about the world around them. Our classroom is a very active learning space. We love playing games, having friendly competitions and celebrating our successes together.

My students are outside of the box thinkers and thrive with new experiences.

As many of my students come from rural/farming backgrounds, they are inclined to problem-solve with materials around them. My students attend a Title I school with a limited budget for enrichment and curriculum materials.

We are a small, lake community that loves the outdoors. Many of my students hunt and are avid fishermen.

My students grow academically the more they are engaged.

My Project

During science class, we are always learning in new ways. One of the students' favorite ways to show their learning is to build. We need materials like, pom poms, felt, clay, foam sheets, felt, and paper.

Building models in the science classroom helps elevate our learning.

These materials are necessary for each student to be able to engineer their own designs. Models are a great way to boost communication in the classroom as well. One of our upcoming projects is building a biorama. Each student will research and build a biome and then participate in a gallery walk where they will communicate their learning.
