Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are architects, explorers, trendsetters, artists and leaders. They love to use technology to research ideas and their hands to construct projects that they have researched. Unfortunately, we don’t have enough technology resources for my students to make their dreams a reality in creating their invention and sharing it the class.
Infusing technology and hands-on approach to instruction in STEAM, sparks their curiosity and motivates their interest.
As a teacher, it is encouraging when my students challenge each other to further research and learn about new Science topics. These young minds are our future. Therefore, it is important to let them explore and research content to fuel their curiosity and achieve academic success in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math) with hands–on activities.
My Project
Having the iPad in class will be an additional resource to be able to assist my students in creating and researching ideas to assist them in building a 3D model using the doodler.
My students enjoy technology, investigating, researching and fueling their minds which requires technology in the classroom.
Having the 3D Doodler will encourage my students to continue to research and make their creations into a 3D model. This will be the first step into their creation, before making a prototype invention that works and examining the changes that need to be done for it to be successful.
