This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I’m at a school that children choose to attend— I want to make sure they have all the opportunities available to them! These codepillars will work perfectly in our unit in motion and science and teach them how to code in an easy way. It will enable team work which is a skill we are working on. These kids deserve the world— they have had so much inconsistency and bringing fun things to school really helps them learn. Education is so important and I want them to value Education as much as I do.

My Project

My students are still learning what team work means. Having these code-a-pillars will truly make them work as a team. Learning how to code the caterpillar to love and then as a team completing obtabkes for the code-a-pillar to follow. I know this will teach them how movement works and how you need to try different things to get the end result you want. My students want something to happen immediately and they need to experience the hard work and satisfaction there is when you try something multiple times and then you finally succeed! Engaging their brains to think more abstract is so rewarding!
