Kindergarten is full of learning, laughter, fun, and investigation! My kindergarten class consists of 19 energetic students. Some of my students are ESL (English as a Second Language) learners, and they come to me at the beginning of the year with little to no English. And for many of my students this is their very first school experience. Therefore, making it our job to make their first year of school a fun and memorable learning experience.
More than three-quarters of our students are from low-income households, making over 76% of our student population eligible for free or reduced-price lunch.
My Project
Having children learn coding at a young age prepares them for the future. These coding robots and accessories will help inspire my students to creatively learn to code. These coding robots are child friendly, with programming tools and activities for beginner level coders. Teaching students sequencing, estimation, problem-solving, and just having fun! These LEGO sets will allow students to create all sorts of life-like or imaginary figures, objects, and buildings. Students will develop fine motor skills while constructing and the included building cards will support and inspire their creativity.
These materials will help students explore STEAM concepts with fun and engaging activities.
Preparing them with crucial 21st century learning skills, including collaboration, communication, creativity and problem solving, curiosity, and critical thinking.
