We have 25 female STEAM students from East San Diego who are creative, caring, and kind. They have been very fortunate to learn about electricity and circuits.
They are excited to give back to their community and have found a way to do that through workshops and activity tables at STEAM events.
If the students are able to reach out to 10 other individuals, they can make an impact 250 other children who can be inspired to pursue a STEM career.
My Project
The Femineer and Project Lead the Way students have spent countless hours learning and are ready to share their knowledge with their community and to teach others. The Girl Powered STEAM Workshop and the STEAM Maker Festival occurring in October and December respectively, will be two events where our students will promote STEM by teaching other students through hosting workshops and managing activity booths.
With these materials, our students will be able to teach others how to build electrical circuits that power an LED name badge.
The focus of the group is to outreach and provide opportunities for other students who do not have access to learn. Our students are learning the importance of giving back to their community and the impact that they can have on another individual.
