My Students
Our classes are filled with wonderful and diverse students who are very eager to learn. Our school is located in a low-income community, which can make teaching a challenge at times. The shortage of funds makes it difficult for us to get the resources needed.
Projects like these will get our students excited about learning and keep them engaged and focused while having fun.

My Project
These materials will make a difference in our students' learning and improve their lives because they will learn to work in teams and build their self-confidence. It will also help build positive classroom climates.
They will also improve when it comes to problem-solving skills.
The Nintendo Switch console and PS Vita will be used for our "Fun Fridays with Video Gaming". All of the video games were specifically requested by our students. The video gaming will benefit all of our students in different ways. All of these games share a common goal, they promote teamwork. Video games have improved attention skills, brain processing, eye-hand coordination, and cognitive functions. Many of our students tell us that it has helped them relieve stress. All of this takes place in our STEAM Lab, and it has had a positive impact in our school community. The guitar will be strummed automatically using a built Lego Mindstorms Robot. The electronic keyboard will play notes created by students using the Lego Mindstorms Robot technology as well.
