The kids at ACS are from a rural area with families that have strong ties to farming and logging. Industry and jobs are limited in the Northeast Kingdom, and our poverty level is greater than 90%. The kids crave exposure to new opportunities, and they LOVE building and working with their hands to create.
I am requesting building sets for projects during their STEAM class.
These materials will give the kids access to building projects that motivate them, after which they can take their creations home to show their loved ones. They will help the kids build positive regard for school and learning.
