Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
In my second grade class, I've got soccer stars, Hello Kitty collectors, world travelers and Mercy Watson lovers. Students come from all types of diverse backgrounds and we love celebrating everyone for who they are. We also love to challenge ourselves in new and innovative ways!
They really enjoy new ways of thinking and learning and always want more, more, more!
My students are part of a math and science magnet school for gifted students. They all genuinely love to learn and push themselves to do their best.
My Project
My students love making new creations! We need new storage bags for our Legos and K'Nex that will help us easily find all the pieces we need and make clean up a cinch! The new liquid watercolors and oil pastels will help us create new art pieces and add color to our STEAM projects. When we craft, we love working with cardboard, but need some tools to help our projects along. We need cardboard scissors and a hole punch to cut out our designs and put them together easily. We especially like working with chipboard for more precise projects.
We are creative beings who love to make unique projects and need new tools and materials to make them come to life.
