This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are from low-income areas and need more support in reading and math. The students at my school do not have access to technology at home and are in great need of the technology resources that the school tries to provide.
I want to include more STEAM activities to my inclusion and resource times that will assist in cross-curricular activities that will allow my students to work on having real-world application and problem-solving skills.
As the resource and inclusion teacher, it is my job to assist my students academically through hands-on learning to have success in academics.
My Project
This project will allow my students opportunities that they would not have otherwise. This would allow more project-based learning to occur in my classroom. LEGO activities would create science experiments and STEAM challenges in my classroom. LEGO in my classroom is all about building, creating, exploring, and expanding the imagination. There are so many great ways to use LEGO in the classroom and I know that my students are excited to start.
