My Students
Our classes are filled with wonderful and diverse students who are very eager to learn. Our school is located in a low-income community, which can make teaching a challenge at times. The shortage of funds makes it difficult for us to get the resources needed.
Projects like these will get our students excited about learning and keep them engaged and focused while having fun.

My Project
Donations to this project will make a huge difference, because it will help us promote a learning environment in our STEAM Lab. Our room is always busy and filled with problem-solvers and critical-thinkers. This S.T.E.A.M curriculum is driven by exploratory learning, problem solving and requires our students to be actively engaged all the time. We have converted a classroom into a STEAM Laboratory. The iRobot and Dyson vacuum will help keep our room clean. The headphones are needed for the computer science (coding) lessons. The shredders are needed to shred important documents and destroy media like CD's. The ink will be used by our students to print out photos from their investigations and projects. The trash can and plastic bags will help keep our room trash-free. The Rubik's cube will be used for our new Rubik's Cube program in our school. This cube, will help with problem-solving skills and enhance spatial reasoning. The Pokemon cards have been specifically requested by our students in Grades 3-5 for their newly created Pokemon Trainer's Club. This club will help out with cognitive skills, critical and analytical thinking, math and reading skills, and social development.
We want our students to increase their social skills by participating in special activities such as the Pokemon Trainer's Club and Rubik's Cube Challenge.
We also want all of our students to build on their social-emotional skills so that they will be able to resolve conflicts positively and be respectful to each other.
